My daughters wore their cute Christmas dresses to church this morning. I'm upset I lost some money and cute clothing too, but even more so that this business is gone. I have bought so many clothes from them. I love the quality and prices. The cute outfits are hard to find elsewhere. So strange I bought Halloween outfits in September and they came. I had no idea they were on their way out. I wish they had told us. Maybe we all could of helped. Anyway, I hope they are able to get back on their feet and refund everyone and move forward. I will miss South Tots.

I placed an order in August. One for $92 and one for $39 havent heard a word,and now the website is shutdown. I will be contacting someone soon... the BBB has word of this company and they will be getting my money back or my merchandise... I will be contacting my bank and an attorney if needed. please get in touch,or I will contact BBB myself,I do not know why I am being ignored. They have my money,and I want it back or my merchandise. Southern tots have shut down as of nov 2nd. I dont know why but i dont think they will reopen and i doubt if any one else get there stuff either unless it was shipped out before they shut down.. i know this because i use to work for them and they let everyone go without a warning or a reason...from what i hear the bank is coming to get everything.

I ordered a dress from them in September as a pre order and was supposed to receive it in October. I tried to check on it today and their website is gone and no number to call on the email receipt.

Their website is closed down I would suggest you call your credit card company to see about a refund of your money. Looks like they have gone out of business ! Hope you get a resolution because there are many unhappy customers right now who are in the same predicament as you.

I ordered 4 sets of Christmas PJs on 9/27/16 for $116.59. I have not received my merchandise and I went to look up order and find they are closed! No notification or refund! I find an article online of where they closed and the article was dated for 9/6/16. Why would they take my money if they knew they were closing??? The article that I found online is on WRDW.com .This is stealing! I hope that I can get my money back. I bought these PJs which were supposed to be monogrammed for pictures and finding this out at this last minute before Christmas is terrible. The owner should get in trouble for this.

I ordered my granddaughter a minky jacket September 5. It said backordered to November later. I can't find a number to call and the website is down. I am very disappointed in them. I will not be ordering form this place again. I too have lost money! If anyone finds a way to speak with them, please post! I don't know what the problem with them is but it needs to be fixed if they are going to advertise on all the websites that they are on. The money I lost could have been used to buy her something for Christmas. I hope they enjoy using my money. If there is some kind of legitimate problem them they should let us know! Please explain!!

I ordered some pajamas for the Polar Express from them in the beginning of August and have yet to get my pajamas and the Polar Express is this Friday and I don't have the pajamas. I can't find the number either and the website is gone too. I want a refund and I too and PISSED!!!!!

(WRDW/WAGT) - The Development Authority of Columbia County named Southern Tots Company of the year in 2015 but this week the online children's clothing business abruptly closed. An On Your Side investigation reveals Southern Tots closed after the Georgia Attorney General ordered the owner to refund more than seven thousand customers.

Southern Tots sent this statement to On Your Side's Liz Owens:

"Southern Tots is in the process of shutting down operations because it is no longer financially able to continue. We appreciate the support of our loyal customers and the opportunity we had to provide them with quality children's clothing for the past 6 years. We understand that there are a number of customers who are awaiting fulfillment of their orders.

We are working working with our vendors and lenders to see if we can fulfill those orders. We are saddened and heartbroken that our business, which we built from scratch, is not able to continue."

The owner, Ashley Jerningan, also gave little explanation to her employees. Several contacted Gigi Turner with the Better Business Bureau after finding out they were out of a job. "They were told this week that they are no longer working and sent them all home," Turner said.

For over a year, consumers have been filing those complaints with the Better Business Bureau.

"Some consumers have product they ordered but haven't received. Some have been waiting for months for their product," Turner said. Consumers also complained to the Georgia Attorney General. In September, Jernigan voluntary agreed to give more than seven thousand customers a refund which totals more than $175,000.

The refunds only include purchases made from December of 2015 through March of 2016. Jernigan was also ordered to pay a $20,000 fine, which she did in October. This comes after the Attorney General alleged Jernigan committed unfair or deceptive acts or practices. According to the Development Authority of Columbia County, Southern Tots employed more than thirty people and made more than 14 million dollars in sales in five years.

The Attorney General is urging consumers to call the Office of Consumer Protection if they don't receive a refund or order.

The number is (800) 869-****. The Better Business Bureau is also asking consumer to call them if they have a complaint at (706) 210-****.

I placed an order in september for a pink jacket for my daughter. Expected to deliver by christmas. I never recieved this order and now im seeing it's not just me! Not everybody has $29.30 to spend on one jacket. And when I decided it woukd be a great gift for my daighter I expected to get it. So now what? Who can be contacted? Is there any hope of a refund?

I pre-ordered some ruffle bottom pants (about $50) for my daughter in August. It said that they were to arrive in November. When I check their website, it says that it's down for maintenance. I have ordered from Southern Tots in the past and have had no problems. I have actually participated in a pre-order with them before. I wonder what happened. I don't think it is a scam, I just think that something has happened to prevent shipments from going out. I read somewhere that they may have gotten in trouble with the IRS. I am really disappointed because some of these pants were to compliment her Christmas outfits. Hopefully they will get back up and running soon.

Have you heard anything back from southern tots or anyone else regarding this issue? I am dealing with the same exact thing.

Two orders paid for no money back no products no response except that they are closed down. Not happy at all.

I can't believe this company hasn't contacted customers that have paid for items and tried to rectify this yet. Why aren't they emailing asking if they would like the orders shipped or a refund!!

Will I get my order I paid for in full in October?

I paid for 2 girls Christmas outfits in October, I went online to check the process of my order. I couldn't get the website to work so I checked on facebook and noticed a post that stated the the store is now closed. I have not had any contact from the store what so ever! I am guessing I will not be getting my order, so how do we go about getting my money back? Do we file a claim with our credit card company and dispute the charge? How can a store be forced to close and not refund sells back to the consumer ... that's called STEALING! I want my money back!

It sounds like there are a bunch of us in the same boat! We need to all ban together figure out how to get this issue resolved!

We should all get our money back no matter if it's $5 or $500 they have flat out STOLEN money from their customers. The state they do business in should step in and make sure ALL customers are paid back in full!

I have ordered from them many times. Im soooo upset as I ordered all 9 of my grands pj's from them. Now I'm out $$$ and no special pj's . Now I have to write a 100 words or it wont let me post. I spent 82$ for Christmas monogramed pjs for my kids the 19th of August 2016. They quickly took my money (Visa) and to-date I have received no merchandise. Their excuse was "pre order" for Christmas. I must have fallen for a SCAM. I'm beyond sickened that a human would just steal from my hard earned money. I won't post my receipt for it contains too much personal information. I cannot contact the Southern Tot company. Facebook, website, phone numbers etc ALL shutdown. I am interested in joining any group that is willing to go after them, legally. Class action kinda thing. Surely we can find the person in charge and make it all public. Otherwise they will continue this EVIL behavior.

In AUGUST!!! Yes, AUGUST! I ordered X-mas pajamas that were suppose to be delivered in November! What a bunch of crooks! I am out over $100 !!!!!! I am sure the universe will pay these people back ! Horrible Horrible - how can they sleep at night knowing they stole all this money from people!!!! I hope they are able to make this right - just refund the consumers our money! I am in the same position as you. I found online at the BBB website that they filed Bankruptcy on November 18th.

When paying I used Pay Pal, so I have notified them in order to get my money back.

If you paid directly from your CC, the BBVA says to contact your bank directly. I hope this helps.

Did you happen to pay with Paypal? I know several people who paid through paypal and opened a claim and got refunded.

I'm also waiting on a refund , thank goodness I used them. This does suck!

I placed my order in September and JUST NOW found out they filed bankruptcy.
